On the Workbench - sort of Welsh?

The programme of resurrecting old Wars of the Roses figures for Basic Impetus continues.  These are old RAFM billmen.  The figure on the left is how they've been, largely unused, for years.  Note the somewhat peculiar bill.  He'll get repainted shortly.

The middle and right-hand figures are repainted and have the lovely Xyston spears.  I'll probably call them Welshmen and might try to find a Welsh knight who can lead them into battle.

I came up with a simple solution to "marking" any troops I wanted to be welsh medievals...the half white /half green tunics. There´s no real 100% proof that they didn´t wear this design...welsh archers are usually protrayed in such a colour scheme so I use that as my excuse.

Hmm. My understanding was that green and white (and indeed the red dragon) became Welsh colours because they were the livery colours of Henry Tudor. I haven't come across any other Welsh nobles with those colours.

However, it's not a bad idea, especially in smaller scales.
