Washed Viking

The block painted Viking...


 ... has now been given a good coat of the Vallejo Sepia wash.  This is what we get:





It's far from being a miniature masterpiece but I think he'd look OK as part of a Saga Warband or a Lion Rampant retinue.  He may well serve as an Armorican Bacaudus when I get to that stage.

Looking really good. I've been using the Army Painter strong tone, diluted down, as a wash for some time. Works well as long as the base colours are a bit brighter than you want on the finished model; therein lies the artistry!

I haven't done so on this figure but on one or two of the Burgundians I've painted lately I've touched up the white halves of the livery jackets.
